1.8. Basic References

The primary resources for information about Paperboy are the man pages. There's one installed for each program (paperboy, paperboyd, paperboy-config) and there's also one for paperboy-modules which explains how to create modules to extend the functionality of paperboy. These can be accessed by typing 'man pagename' into your shell.

In addition to the man pages, the DTDs installed on your system also have extensive comments in them. They can be viewed in any text editor and are installed by default in /usr/local/lib/paperboy. In time this documentation will be moved to man pages to make it more accessible.

Before you delete the folder you unpacked the tarball into, there are some helpful files which do not get installed on our system. In the /docs folder there is miscellaneous documentation including the tutorial*.xsl series which explains how to go about making XSLT files. Some of that tutorial series is cited here.
